If you haven’t filed your taxes yet, you should know that the IRS has a free electronic filing system that could allow you to file and have your refund in about 2 weeks.
The IRS estimates that more than half of the 133 million taxpayers will pay their taxes electronically this year, and it’s making it easier than ever for you to do so. If you have access to a computer and the internet, the IRS now offers Free File—a free tax-service partnership. And if you e-file and use direct deposit, you could have your refund in as little as two weeks. For more information about this free service, visit IRS.gov—but do it fast—you only have until April 15 to get those forms in.
