Two Temple University students are getting national recognition for their commercial-making abilities, the result of a television contest.
Senior Kamillah Dubard says she and Alison Burnette were finalists in a Chevrolet commercial-making contest:
"Our Super Bowl ad I did with a friend, Alison Burnette -- she's also a senior. It's called, 'Are you whipped?' It's about how the flash and flare of the new Chevy cars will give you whiplash because you'll break your neck trying to stare at them."
Kamillah says they came close to the big prize, and that's pretty good:
"The grand prize was to have your commercial actually produced and aired during the Super Bowl. The winner for that has already been chosen, but this is a separate contest they ended up making, and we're really grateful for that because all we wanted was our ad to be seen by people."
The women used Flash animation to produce the ad, which aired this week on the CBS Morning Show.
Have people called them about jobs?
"Not yet, but hopefully they'll start coming in."
(Kuznits:) "Maybe you'll start a company together?"
" 'Kami and Ali,' that's what we want to call it."
(Kuznits:) "Oh, so you know already what you want to do!"
"We know already what we want: Kami and Ali Productions!"
