With the credit market being what it is, people who need money are now shopping around for the best deals.  Your best bet may not come from a bank, but rather, another person.  LendingClub.com is a social lending club.  Become a member, and then ask around for the amount of money you need, and the length of the loan.  There are likely plenty of people who will lend you the money at interest rates much lower than your bank.  Better yet, if times are good, consider lending yourself.
