Mayor Nutter Gets Rave Reviews On His 100th Day in Office

by KYW's Mike Dunn

This Tuesday is Day 100 of the Michael Nutter administration, and Philadelphia's mayor was holding a morning news conference to reflect on his tenure so far.

Mayor Nutter threw a perfect strike from the mound at the Phillies' home opener, and one analyst predicts a continuing honeymoon for Nutter:

"He almost has the perfect touch."

St. Joseph University political analyst Randall Miller (right) says that Nutter has been throwing strikes as well in his first 100 days at City Hall:

"He has addressed publicly almost every major issue. And if he doesn't have a solution, at least he suggests that he's going to work on it. He's taken on some hard cases, whether it's casinos or crime, and done it in such a way that people have had to respect his arguments."

Miller says the city's honeymoon with Nutter may turn into a full-fledged romance, but looming on the horizon are contract talks with city workers, where the unions could be the ones throwing a strike.
