There were waiting lines overnight Monday outside stores as videogame fans hoped to be among the first to have Grand Theft Auto IV, a game that pushes the envelope and, according to at least one critic, crushes our culture.
"We got real problems...."
So says a character in Grand Theft Auto IV (pictured above). But Arthur Ally (right), founder of the Timothy Plan of biblically invested mutual funds, says the game itself is the problem:
"Grand Theft Auto is intense violence, blood, and mayhem. But beyond that, they have a lot of pornography in there. You can drive drunk, you can have sex with prostitutes, you can visit adult clubs."
Ally says all this can't help but affect a child or an adult, and he calls on parents to get rid of the bad influences:
"It's time we take charge of our kids, take charge of our culture. Our nation's in a mess and nobody seems to understand why, when all you have to do is look around and see."
Ally calls on Christians to speak up in protest.
