A Bensalem, Pa. man is behind bars in Bucks County, facing a host of charges after police say he robbed a group of women who were out celebrating over the weekend.
Police say the ladies were having a party at a Bensalem bar early Sunday morning when Andre Smith injected himself into their conversation. He even snapped some pictures with them.
Smith, 31, was later tossed from the bar for harassing customers.
When the women left the bar, they went to a nearby convenience store where, according to Bensalem public safety director Fred Harran, Smith robbed them:
"He implied he had a weapon and stole their pocketbooks. He must have forgotten that they had taken his picture. We had a beautiful snapshot of the guy.”
A detective caught up with Smith later that day at his apartment on Richlieu Road.
Smith is now behind bars on $50,000 bail, charged with robbery, theft, and receiving stolen property.
