Montco Judge Orders Four Women, ''Stay Out of Malls!''

by KYW's Brad Segall

Four women, all related and all with extensive criminal records, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County on Thursday to ripping off the Macy’s department store in the Willow Grove Mall last September. And the judge has imposed a rather unusual condition on their sentence.

Judge Steven O’Neill told the four women that they had "descended like a plague of locusts" on Montgomery County. Court records show that the four travel around the country, stealing for a living, and have criminal records in at least ten states.

Prosecutor Tracey Potere says they were sentenced to time served in jail and put on probation -- but there’s more:

"This seemed to be a family business, that they do this across the United States. And one of the conditions that the judge sentenced on all four, in a unique move, the judge barred them from entering any malls here in Pennsylvania.”

The four women -- Jeannie Davis, Christina Robson, and two women named Catherine Robson -- pleaded guilty to similar charges in Bucks County back in January.
