Road Rage Survey Shows Philadelphia Drivers Improving

by KYW's Mark Abrams

A new national survey on road rage finds drivers in the Philadelphia area appear to be behaving a lot better than those in other major cities across the country.

Philadelphia ranks 15th among cities with the least courteous drivers, according to the AutoVantage "Driver's Seat Road Rage Survey."

Miami was ranked first among the worst, followed by Boston, New York, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.

Philadelphia's ranking actually improved. It was ninth last year.

But Paul of South Philadelphia says they got it wrong:

"I think we're a lot worse. I think we're number one."

(Abrams): "Really, why?"

"Cause every time I'm on the road, somebody cuts me off. Every single day, I have people cutting me off every single day."

(Abrams): "So maybe they asked the wrong people?"

"Maybe."

Pittsburgh ranked first with the least road rage activity followed by Portland, Oregon, Seattle, Minneapolis, and Cleveland.
