An inconvenience for gamblers at Harrah's in Chester Monday afternoon.
William Randel of Hatboro says he was at the casino around 3:15 in the afternoon when computerized payouts at some machines stopped:
"Anybody that went to cash out of a machine if they wanted to take what leftover moneys they had or take their jackpots out. The entire casino computer went glitch and will not print out a ticket to let you retrieve your money."-
In a written statement, Harrah's says they rebooted their slot data system, which is a maintenance type procedure, and that this took about 25 minutes. The casino says that customers were able to play but if they wanted to switch machines, they had to wait for an employee to conduct the payout manually. Randel says he and other customers were furious.
