Area HS Students Join in Making Agenda for Presidential Race

by KYW's Karin Phillips

High school students from around the country were meeting at the National Constitution Center, Tuesday,  to work on a student agenda for the presidential candidates. Philadelphia area students were there in person and students from other states joined the effort via webcast.

Christiana Sanders is from Constitution High School in Old City, and she wants leadership:

"To end the war and better health care and better benefits for the middle class."

Dan Maser is from Conestoga High School in Berwyn.  His concerns:

"Education, especially since I'm heading to college.  A lot of college prices, obviously, going hand  in hand with the economy."

MTV host SuChin Pak (at right above) has moderated several such student exchanges and will lead another in the fall:

"You don't have to be 18 and cast a ballot to be politically engaged and active."
