Mayor Street's older brother Milton says he plans to sue a South Jersey police officer who ordered him arrested on outstanding traffic violations.
And Milton Street says if he doesn't get a public show of support for his candidacy, he'll drop out of the mayor's race.
Street, standing in front of the Wissinoming house where he says he lives, says his arrest on old traffic tickets was politiclaly motivated:
"There is an officer in Moorestown named Bill Walsh. I am going to sue him, along with the Moorestown police department, because this is harassment."
Street says he wants to meet with Moorestown police supervisors about the issue on Wednesday morning.
As for former councilman Michael Nutter, Milton Street again called him a "Watermelon Man" who doesn't know the black community.
And Street says he'll drop out of the Philadelphia's mayor's race if 5,000 people don't show up at his noontime rally on March 1st at City Hall.
