Area Police Think Suburban Luring Cases May Be Related

by KYW's Brad Segall

Police in Bucks and Montgomery counties are comparing notes today, trying to determine whether some recent incidents of attempted child lurings are related.

The latest incident occurred Wednesday afternoon on North Main Street in Sellersville (Bucks County), Pa. Police say a 16-year-old girl told them a man asked her if she wanted a ride. She refused and walked into Lenape Park in Perkasie, but she says he followed her and asked if she wanted to earn money.

Perkasie police chief Joseph Gura says they have a description of the car:

"It was a dark vehicle and it was pulling a low trailer, something similar that a landscape company would use.”

She told police the man was black or Hispanic, about 30 years old, clean shaven and chubby. They are now comparing notes with police in Horsham, West Rockhill, and Towamencin, where other attempted lurings were reported last month.
