Former LaSalle Pitcher Craig Muschko is Liking the Pro Game

by KYW's Matt Leon

Craig Muschko was a standout pitcher at La Salle University. Drafted last year by the Cubs, he's in the bullpen this season for Chicago's Single-A affiliate in Peoria, Illinois.

Muschko was primarily a starter for the La Salle Explorers, but he has worked exclusively out of the bullpen since turning pro. He talks about his first full season in the minors:

"I guess it's what I thought it would be: basically, you're a standout college player so you're basically pitching against a stacked college lineup -- an all-star line-up everytime you go out there."

A righthander, Muschko is 4-2 for the Peoria Chiefs this season, with four saves and a 4.80 ERA in 28 appearances.
