A one-year-old baby girl is the latest to die as the result of a deadly crash on Roosevelt Boulevard in Philadelphia early Wednesday morning that police say was caused deliberately by the baby's father.
The infant died at 3:30am at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.
Police captain James Clark says Shawn Bender, 19, repeatedly ran his car into his girlfriend's car, killing occupant Charles Johnson, 17, and critically injuring three other people including his baby (see previous story):
"(He) initially struck several times a vehicle in front of him occupied by five passengers, causing it to go into a concrete pillar."
Bender already faced one charge of murder for the death of Johnson. Bender was listed in critical but stable condition on Thursday.
An additional count of murder against Bender has already been approved by the district attorney's office.
