No decision until the fall on whether Unisys can erect signs with the company logo on the side of Two Liberty Place in Philadelphia.
The Zoning Board heard two hours of arguments on the controversial Unisys sign but ran out of time. The hearing will continue in September.
Testifying in support of the sign was Penn historian George Thomas, who said the sign would benefit not just the company, but the city itself:
"It says that Philadelphia is now attracting a business that wants to be here -- a major business."
The Center City Residents Association is among those fighting the Unisys sign.
Attorney Stanley Krackower says other big firms are not posting skyline logos:
"Comcast didn't attempt to do something like this. Their signage is all within the zoning code."
Unisys' attorney said if the sign is not approved, the company will re-evaluate its plans to move into the city.
