Plymouth Meeting Police Seek Pair in Boscov's Jewelry Heist

by KYW's Brad Segall

Plymouth Township police are looking for two men in connection with a strong-arm robbery at Boscov’s department store in the Plymouth Meeting Mall, Wednesday morning.

Sergeant Karen Mabry says the robbery occurred just after 10:30am, when two men walked into the store’s jewelry department.

"One of the actors asked to see a two carat, and a 2 ½ carat, ring and the clerk began to show the actor the rings," says Mabry.  "The actor grabbed the rings and both fled from the mall.”

Store security officers gave chase but couldn’t catch the men. Mabry says the rings are valued at more than $16,000.

Store surveillance cameras caught the two suspects, who are described as an older black male, wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans, and a younger black male, wearing a brown T-shirt with a very distinctive graphic on it and blue jean shorts.

There was no weapon used in the holdup.
