by KYW's John McDevitt

Democratic vice presidential nominee Joe Biden was campaigning On Friday at a union hall in Northeast Philadelphia and a middle school in Bucks County.

Senator Biden addressed crowds first in Northeast Philadelphia at Ironworkers Local 401 and then in Langhorne at the Maple Point Middle School where Senator Biden said the Republican national convention was silent on issues that matter to Americans:

"Did you hear them talk about aid to get kids to college? (Crowd:) No! Did you hear them talk about aid to education? (Crowd:) No! Did you hear them putting more cops on the street to make us safer? I didn't hear a thing, a thing."

Earlier at the union hall, Mayor Michael Nutter said he was astounded at the repulsive national convention Wednesday night when Governor Palin spent much of her speech attacking Obama personally and not talking about thee issues.
