Plymouth Township, Pa. police are asking for help from the public as they try to track down the man who held up a bank in the Conshohocken section of the township on Thursday morning.
Police say the alarm came in around 10am from the Citizens Bank on Ridge Pike near Butler Pike. They say a man handed the teller a demand note, then fled with cash and a dye pack that he placed in a silver metal briefcase.
Detective sergeant Karen Mabry says surveillance cameras got some good shots of the man. He’s described as a white male in his mid-30s to mid-40s, about six feet tall. She says that at the time of the crime he was wearing sunglasses, a straw hat, black shirt, and dark pants:
"The pictures from the surveillance cameras were pretty clear, and he’s very distinct looking. We’re hoping that anybody with information that may recognize him would contact either us or the FBI.”
Police say he fled the bank on foot and no vehicle was seen. She says they haven’t received any information that he may have been involved in other area bank robberies.
