No More Styrofoam Cups in Temple University Cafés

Temple University in Pa. is making strides in its effort to "go green" by getting rid of Styrofoam cups. 

Temple University is becoming a bit more Eco-conscious here in their cafeterias, so says Sandy Dade, director of sustainability here at the University:

"In this Fall semester, the Johnson and Hardwick dining area has replaced Styrofoam cups and now are using glassware."

(Kuznits): "Why is that significant?"

"Styrofoam cups are made from non-renewable resources, so if you get rid of them, it's much more sustainable."

What do students think about the lack of Styrofoam cups?

"I just noticed that! And I was a little frustrated because I'm so used to being able to take the cups out of the cafeteria! But if that's the reason why, then I'm not so upset with it anymore."

"It's like almost now like definitely trendy. Like, even stars are into it."

(Kuznits): "So it's cool to be Eco-conscious?"
