Senator Barack Obama's campaign will get a jolt of star power in Philadelphia this weekend.
Bruce Springsteen will play an acoustic set on Saturday on the Ben Franklin Parkway to help the Obama campaign register voters and recruit volunteers.
Zach Friend is the Pennsylvania Obama Campaign Spokesperson:
"The voter registration deadline is October 6th and this state is the kind of state that's beyond a battleground -- we've been here 11 times since the Primary, Senator McCain has been here even more. Millions of dollars are being spent on advertising and what it all comes down to is everyone is given their voice on November 4th with that vote."
The program on Saturday begins at 3:30pm with the gates opening at 2. Preferred tickets will be distributed to those who sign up to volunteer. The program will be held on the Parkway between 20th and 22nd Streets. Friend expects at least 50,000 people to attend.
