There's a new, risky strategy underway as the presidential nominees prepare for their second debate on Tuesday.
A key player in the national McCain campaign says the candidate and advisers have decided on an all out personal attack on Barack Obama. The source says that John McCain will question Obama's friends and allies in a hard-hitting attack at Tuesday night's debate and in new ads in battleground states.
McCain, facing a widening poll gap, sent Sarah Palin out to begin the attacks over the weekend.
Obama is hitting hard at McCain, calling him "erratic in campaign ads" and his campaign is stressing two main areas -- with George Bush's approval ratings at an all time low of 22 percent -- the Obama campaign will keep connecting McCain to Bush and will stress the economy.
Both sides, but especially Obama, is pushing hard to register Pennsylvania voters. The deadline is midnight on Monday.
