A new measure now law extends the state’s wiretap law and closes a loophole that allowed access to individuals’ cell phone records.

Another bill now law is designed to cut down on the theft of scrap metal. Two other bills require that massage therapists be licensed and acupuncturists be licensed.

The governor has also signed measures eliminating, with certain exceptions, mandatory nurse overtime, and authorizing the repair of 411 of the state’s bridges under Governor Rendell’s accelerated bridge repair program.
