A new 'R' rated comedy opening at month's end has a provocative title, which prompted Philadelphia officials to reject putting ads for the movie on bus shelters.
The Seth Rogen (left in photo above) comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" opens in theaters on October 31st.
Mayor Nutter's transportation chief, Rina Cutler, was asked to approve ads for the film, to be put on city-owned bus shelters:
"They had a cute little ad with two stick figures, and it said over it, 'We can't show you a clip from the movie.'"
But Cutler decided even having the word 'porno' in the films title was too much, so she rejected the ads:
"I don't need a five-year-old looking at the bus shelter, waiting for the bus to day care, saying 'mommy, what's porno?'"
SEPTA itself was never approached by its ad agency to run those ads.
