Are you going away for Thanksgiving? Triple-A says you'll have a little less company on the road this year.
There will be fewer people driving to grandmother's house this year, says AAA spokeswoman Cathy Rossi:
"For the first time in six years, since 2002, AAA is projecting a decline in Thanksgiving travel, which is typically the biggest travel holiday of the year."
Blame the economy.
AAA projects a dip of about 1.4-percent in travel nationally, and around one-percent in the five-county Philadelphia area. Rossi says there would have been a bigger decrease, if not for lower gas prices.
AAA does project a six-percent increase in people riding trains and buses, as travelers look for less expensive alternatives to flying.
