Milton Street lives to see another political day. The indicted brother of Mayor John Street has survived a court challenge to his candidacy for City Council.
Commonwealth Court has now rejected an attempt to throw Milton Street off the ballot for an at-large position on City Council:
“As of now, this moment, I’m on the ballot!”
Milton Street argued his own case before the judges in Harrisburg, and he says he was smokin’:
“I made oral argument, and I gotta tell you, man, I was in good stride, man, I was goin’ full steam ahead.”
Milton continues to blame his nephew Sharif Street for the court challenge. Sharif, the mayor’s son, is also running for Council at large.
Milton says now his campaign begins in earnest:
“I have a proposal and a plan, a comprehensive plan that I’m coming out with next week, to curb the crime.”
Stay tuned.
