An unidentified woman was listed in stable condition as of Wednesday morning, after being wounded Tuesday night at a West Philadelphia anti-violence rally.
The neighborhood rally took place near 61st and Market Streets, an area where police say there have been numerous shootings, many of them drug-related.
The rally had gotten underway around 8pm when shots rang out. Police special investigators did not immediately determine whether the victim was a target or whether she was struck by a bullet meant for someone else.
Tuesday night's rally, which was attended by an estimated 125 area residents, follows Sunday's fatal shooting of 19-year-old Terrance Walker, and last Friday's fatal shooting of an innocent bystander near 58th and Pine Streets.
