Governor Ed Rendell (in photo) has come up with a unique way of addressing the prospect of an all-Pennsylvania Super Bowl.
Rendell spokesman Chuck Ardo says you bet the governor has given thought to the idea of the Eagles and Steelers meeting in the Super Bowl:
“Well, the governor certainly is looking forward to an all Pennsylvania Super Bowl. And in anticipation of that day, he is ready to make a wager – against himself!”
That’s right – if the Eagles and Steelers meet in the big game, an Eagles win means the governor will deliver Primanti Brothers sandwiches from Pittsburgh to a homeless shelter and a senior center in Philadelphia. If the Steelers win, he’ll deliver cheesesteaks to a homeless shelter and senior center in Pittsburgh.
But Ardo says the governor will not hide the fact that if there is an all-Pennsylvania Super Bowl, he will be wearing his Eagles green.
