Over a hundred residents have been relocated to new apartments after a blaze destroyed their building in the Ogontz section of Philadelphia. (see previous story)

CEO Tom Foley says the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter Red Cross has helped over 100 residents with food, shelter and groceries after a 7-alarm fire destroyed the Grange Manor at 1419 West Grange Avenue on Saturday.

"This is the third major disaster since the day after Christmas. I'm sure you remember the fire where 7 Liberians were killed, and that was followed shortly after by a fire in the Northeast and then not ten days later this fire. Everything that we do is, of course, free of charge. People make a donation that means you not only help this time but you can help us to be ready the next disaster that happens in our city."
 
Joan Przybylowicz of the Office of Emergency Management says the next step is making insurance claims.

"I guess a lot of people just don't think about renter's insurance but your apartment can be damaged in a fire, water damaged or any type of damage from a storm and you really should consider having renter's insurance just as you would if you had insurance if you owned a home."
