Philadelphia's Buddy Greco is back in town, bringing a stage musical, "Fever, the Music of Peggy Lee,' to the Prince Music Theater, Thursday through Saturday.
He's released songs from every genre, from jazz to country to pop music. Some of his hit recordings include 'The Lady Is A Tramp".
Now, Buddy Greco, 82, before his upcoming show, 'Fever- A Tribute To Miss Peggy Lee,' visited some of his childhood hangout places in South Philadelphia:
"I have such warm feelings, because I went to my old neighborhood. I knocked on the door of my old home on Chadwick Street."
He also drove by his father's former music store on Passyunk, near Mckean and Mifflin.
Lezlie Anders, buddy's wife, belts out the Peggy Lee tunes in Fever. She says she was 'one of the finest lyracists in American music, ever.'
"She was so gifted as a recording, performing artist, but wrote hundreds of songs."
There are four performances, Thurday, Friday and two shows Saturday at the Prince Theater.
