Latifa is 15 years old, and she has great sense of humor to go with her wide range of favorite activities:

"I like football, I like to dance, and I sing in the shower."

So why does she like to sing in the shower?

"I don't know, maybe because I probably sound bad and it makes me laugh."

Latifa wants to be a midwife when she gets older.

(Kane:)  "So you like the concept of delivering babies?"
(Latifa:)  "Yeah, every time I see babies it makes me happy."

Latifa says she wants to work with children, to make sure they have what she didn't:

"Because when I was younger I didn't really have a mom and dad, and when I go around and see other parents with their kids and stuff, I say, 'Oh, I wish that were me.' "

And she says that while she's not exactly the traditional adoption age, she still hopes for the bond that a permanent family would bring:

"I would like a family that would treat me as if I was their own kid, like if I wasn't adopted."
