Obama Stops to Speak to Supporters in Phila.

by KYW’s Pat Loeb

President-elect Obama began his journey to his Washington inauguration at Philadelphia's 30th Street station.

The president-elect spoke to a relatively small group. It was an invitation only event but the guests were mostly regular folks, who'd volunteered on his campaign, people like Jacqueline Tinsley and Tanya Lowry:

“I touched him!  I touched him!

Tinsley and Lowrey said they were excited by Mr. Obama's message of inclusion:

“If we could just recognize ourselves in one another and bring everyone together; Democrats, Republicans and independents, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay and straight and disabled.  And not only would we restore hope and opportunity in places that yearn for both, but maybe just maybe we might perfect are union in the process.”
