3 Family Members Murdered in Port Richmond

by KYW’s Al Novack

Police seek clues in a Sunday morning Port Richmond shooting that claimed the lives of three people, all members of one family.

A Tulip Street resident reacted when hearing that three of her friends, her next door neighbors were shot to death early Sunday:

“I can't even imagine. They've been in the neighborhood for a long time.”

It was shortly after 1am when gunfire rang out in the 3600 block of Tulip near Pacific.

Police and paramedics responded to 911 calls. They found three members of one family suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Two victims were dead at the scene, the mother and her 20-year-old bedridden quadriplegic son.

The father was dead on arrival at temple hospital.

The victims are identified as William and Stella Fowler both in their 50's and their 20-year-old son John.

Police are seeking the motive and have no suspects. There was no sign of forced entry.
