New Movie About Dating is Reality Check for Phila. Singles

A new movie, out on Friday, looks at dating in the information age. "He's Just Not That Into You" (see Bill Wine's review) explores modern romance in Baltimore. How close to reality is this for Philadelphia singles?

"This guy myspaced me. Ouch. Myspace is the new booty call. Oh."

The movie looks very funny but, really? MySpacing a romantic interest? Breaking up on Facebook?

"I've gotten on instant messenger, I've gotten over the phone which really stinks and text messaging. That's the worst one. It's the most impersonal one."

"The worst I ever heard of was, one of my friends had a friend of his leave a voice mail on the girl's voice mail for him to break up with her."

Okay, art imitates life:

"And now you just have to go around checking all these different portals just to get rejected by seven different technologies."

And the movie was made before twitter got really popular:

"It's exhausting."
