Palestinian Rocket Hits Israeli School

by KYW’s Jay Bushinsky

A Palestinian Qassam rocket smashed into a classroom in the southern Israeli city of Sderot reducing it to smithereens. But the religious students and their teacher were at an extended prayer session outside when the projectile came in from the nearby Gaza Strip.

They believe this was a miracle.

Israel's military commanders consider this incident par for the course and reacted as usual by pounding the missile-launching area with hundreds of artillery shells.

Had there been loss of life counter-strike probably would have been much more severe.
