With the nation’s current economic crisis, the SPCA is reaching out to the needs of many animal caregivers. Recognizing the needs of many pet owners in difficult financial times, the Pennsylvania SPCA is launching a bi-weekly food distribution program at its Philadelphia headquarters to help animal guardians who need assistance in providing food for their canine and feline companions.
The PSPCA food bank will now be open every other Sunday, from noon-3 p.m., at the Philadelphia Adoption Center located at 350 E. Erie Avenue. Food will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
For more information, email info@pspca.org or call 215-426-6300. Donations are always welcome. Individuals and organizations wishing to donate food for the program can drop it off at the PSPCA’s Philadelphia Adoption Center seven days a week
