Last week we introduced you to TyLeah (see previous story). This week we'll meet her big sister, Donna. The siblings hope to find a home together.
(Kane:) "If you're adpoted, you want to be together, right?"
(Donna and TyLeah:) "Yeah."
(Kane:) "How important is that to you?"
(Donna:) "Important."
(TyLeah:) "Very."
(Kane:) "Why is it important?"
(TyLeah:) "Because we're seperated."
(Kane:) "Because you are a family?"
(TyLeah and Donna:) "Yes."
(Kane:) "And right now you live apart?"
(Donna:) "Yeah."
(Kane:) "And how often do you see each other?"
(Donna:) "Every other weekend."
Donna is the quieter of the two, but her little sister TyLeah definitely looks up to her:
(TyLeah:) "She's beautiful, she's smart, she's pretty."
And Donna loves to spend time with her sister:
(Donna:) "She's funny."
(Kane:) "How is she funny?"
(Donna:) "The things she does and says."
(Kane:) "Do you have any idea what you want to do when you grow up?"
(Donna:) "A nurse."
(Kane:) "So you like to help people?"
(Donna:) "Yes."
National Adoption Network spokeswoman Gloria Hochman says the sisters have said they don't want to be adopted unless they can be adopted as a pair:
"And that tells us something, how important it is that these girls be adopted together. And it's actually important for all siblings, when it's at all possible to be adopted together."
