Camco Mother Charged with Threatening to Kill Students

by KYW's Kim Glovas

A Camden County woman has been charged with threatening to kill several students at a Mount Ephraim elementary school.

Thirty-five-year-old Denise Gray has a child who attends Mary Bray Elementary School, and the child has reportedly had ongoing problems with several other students.

The Camden County prosecutor's office says an adult overheard Gallagher saying she was going to go to the school and "kill all those kids one by one”.
The adult reported it to school officials Thursday morning.

Shortly after that, the school was placed on modified lockdown status until the woman was arrested at home. Modified lockdown means students were kept inside for recess and gym class.

Gallagher has been charged with making terroristic threats. The crime is a third-degree charge and carries a maximum prison term of five years, if the woman is convicted.

Gallagher was issued a summons and released.  She’s scheduled to appear in court on June 9th.
