The KYW AccuWeather forecast is calling for more rain so you might be feeling as soggy as the local golf course.
A little rain is a good thing, but days and days of it can be depressing and prevent you from springtime puttering in the yard. Scott Bordner, superintendent at the historic Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa. says dealing with all this moisture now won't cause problems later in the year:
"The turf will adapt to the different conditions. It's actually good to have a good soaking rain like this, once it does dry out, the roots will dive down and search for water so it will help the plants get strong going into the summer."
He admits it does make it tough to find time to cut the beautiful, lush lawn because if you don't give it time to dry out, and don't scoop up the cuttings, it'll clump up and suffocate the blades underneath.
