Dana

Fifteen-year-old Dana loves to laugh, and there’s no shortage of confidence with this young lady:

“I would describe myself as intelligent, smart, awesome, more awesome, and very conservative.  And caring.  And more awesome (laughs).”

And Dana is awesome  when it comes to her schoolwork:

“In eighth grade I was inducted into the National Junior Honor Society.  I got honor roll first marking period this year, principal’s list second, and for the third I got honor roll again.  And last year I got principal’s list all four marking periods.  Awesome.”

Dana has a clear picture of where she wants to be in the next few years:

“I’m very big on the environment, I plan to be a conservationist as soon as I graduate college.  I either I want to go to college at the University of Delaware or Paul Smith's (College).  Because they have what I want: enviromental science.”

And Dana says being adopted would bring her complete and total happiness.  She describes her ideal family:

“I would love them to be kind of conservative and understanding and caring and someone you can talk to.  Someone you’re not going to be afraid to tell them certain things.”

She imagines the perfect day with her new family as a trip to New York City to go shopping:

“All types of shopping.  Especially shoes.  And clothes.  And CDs.  And everything.”
