PSPCA's Urgent Need for Foster Care

by KYW's Nan Talleno

The Pennsylvania SPCA and the Animal Care and Control Team shelter are in urgent need of foster care and are reaching out to the community for assistance.

They are in serious need of temporary homes for their dogs.  Both the Animal Care and Control Team at 111 W. Hunting Park Avenue and the PSPCA Adoption Center at 350 E.Erie Avenue in Philadelphia are now filled to capacity and are appealing to the community for assistance to foster.

In return for temporary housing for a dog in need, free medical care will be provided, as well as any support needed.  If you already have a dog, the PSPCA invites you to bring your dog for a meet and greet.

To view some of the many lovable dogs that need foster care, visit http://www.pspca.org/adoption_centers.  There are many more dogs not listed on the site.

If you can help, call (267) 385-3800.  If you’re unable to foster but would like to help, consider making a donation to the foster program. . Your donation will help offset the cost of medical care for foster animals.  Not only will you be saving a life by temporarily housing a dog, but you’ll be helping the PSPCA to rescue many more lives.
