A New York Lingerie Designer With a Philly Flair

by KYW's Lauren Lipton

She grew up in Philadelphia, started a lingerie line in New York, and came back to Philly to kick the whole thing off to the rest of America.

(Leigh:)  "I love wearing lingerie, even when I was little and didn't have anything to wear lingerie for.  I just love it."

That's Jenna Leigh (right), and her company says the lingerie reflects her Philadelphia/New York/Miami lifestyle.

(Leigh:)  "I like to think of it as a very sexy, chic line that still is classy.  I named all my pieces after different places around the world that I wanna go to, so they're basically inspired by photography and art."

And lingerie is much different than designing clothes.

(Leigh:)  "It involves a lot more technical work, because there's the fit and the cup sizes.  If you have a different cup size, there's a different strap size, the closures and making sure that the lace stretches and the satin stretches.  It's really hard."

The fashion show models were from Philadelphia, except for "America's Next Top Model" winner Jaslene Gonzalez.

(Gonzalez:)  "I'm very proud of being a part of her first show.  This is her first time showcasing her line.  To be a part of that feels great."

(Leigh:)  "I started the company the company in New York, but it meant a lot to me to have my debut here in Philly.  I'd love to open a store in Philly one day."
