Funnel Cloud Spotted Briefly in Hatfield, Pa.

by KYW's Michelle Durham

As a band of strong thunderstorms passed through the Delaware Valley on Tuesday afternoon, one Montgomery County man was among a group of co-workers who spotted a funnel cloud.

Luke Zeigler, an employee of Cool Transport in Hatfield, Pa., was able to capture images with a camera:

"All we saw was these clouds just drop down from the middle and start spinning, and then quickly dropped down to the ground and start spinning. Now, granted, it was only on the ground for about a minute.  And then it lifted up and it was still spinning, and it went over our property.  And then it started raining like crazy."

The National Weather Service was not immediately able to confirm a tornado touchdown but an investigation was expected.
