Woman, Child Drown in North Wildwood

Police in North Wildwood, NJ say two people -- a 28-year-old woman and a child -- drowned on Tuesday evening while swimming in the Hereford Inlet.
The two swimmers were pulled from the water, but were unresponsive and were taken to Cape Regional Medical Center.
Police say the calls for help went out just before 6pm -- after the public beaches were closed to swimming.
The names of the victims were not immediately released.
