Visitors to Philadelphia Find a Lot to Like

by KYW's Lauren Lipton

Tourists come from all over the world to visit Philadelphia, especially over the July 4th holiday.  And it's fascinating to hear what they think.

From Australia:

"The cleanliness and the wideness of the streets and the footpaths, very good compared to our cities."

From down South:

"There's just so much to do on the streets.  Little outside cafés and all kinds of interesting shops."

From Boise, Idaho:

"Riding the Ducks.  Amazing ride!"

Portland, Oregon:

"Very friendly so far."

Gayla from Beaumont, Texas couldn't say enough about our weather.  No kidding:

"Oh, the weather is wonderful here!  We were in the hundreds when I left -- really bad.  Hot, hot, hot."

Same for this tourist from Alaska:

"I'm from Eagle River, Alaska.  In Alaska you get dark and cold, you get light and cold, and light and warm, but you don't get dark and warm.  It's really neat going out at night and just walking, being able to walk around in your shorts and not freeze."

We did get a complaint from this woman. She loved the King of Prussia Mall -- but getting there?

"That freeway going to the King of Prussia mall is too narrow."

Mike from Long Island loved our history and our cheesesteaks.  He's on a mission to find the best cheesesteak out there:

"I like Pat's, but my wife likes Geno's.  We're gonna go to Jim's today, though, so we'll try that out.  So we'll get back to you."

And that's Positively Philadelphia!  Happy July 4th!
