Authorities have recovered the body of man who drowned on Friday night in the Delaware River, as the search continues for a boy still missing in the water near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.
The 43-year-old's body was found on Saturday morning.
The Coast Guard says three people were in a 16-foot recreational craft around 8:40pm on Friday, when an 11-year-old either decided to go swimming, or fell off the boat.
Petty officer Crystal Kneen says the man jumped in to help the boy:
"The 43-year-old went in after him because of the current. By the time the person operating the boat got the anchor up and turned around, he lost sight of them."
That man also jumped in to rescue the boy, though he made it out okay.
The Coast Guard says none of the three was wearing a life jacket.
An air and water search continues for the 11-year-old.
