A motorcycle chase that began around 1am in Tinicum Township, Pa. (Delaware County) ended at Bartram and Island Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia when the motorcycle collided with a car.
There were two people on the motorcycle, a male operator and a female passenger. Both are hospitalized at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania with multiple injuries.
Tinicum police had been pursuing the cyclist in connection with an alleged road racing incident and speeding. The car the cycle struck sustained only minor damage and no one in the car was hurt.
