Center City dance studio hosts a weekly dance party for those who like salsa and ballroom.
Shana Vitoff of Society Hill Dance Academy says if you like to dance, come join the party:
"Every Thursday night we host a dance party for our students to practice what they've been learning in their lessons. We have students of all ages and all levels coming. The party is from 9:15-11. There's a $10 cover. For some of our students, who are in certain programs, there's no charge, but overall it's open to the public and everyone can come and dance together and learn a little bit about ballroom and Latin!"
Choreographer Frank Laurenzi says sometimes the instructors show up to teach an impromptu routine:
"The nice thing about our instructors here is they're very talented, they're good at on-the-spot choreography. A lot of times it's nice to have the emotion of the music take over and to improv with choreography rather than pre-rehearse everything. It connects with the students a lot."
