It wasn't business as usual for a group of high school students who were starting business "boot camp" at Rutgers University in Camden on Monday.
Rutgers professor Joe Haro (right) says the annual program provides a real-world overview of the business world:
"It started nine years ago, with the idea that we thought that students weren't being exposed to the world of business enough in high school. So this gives them an opportunity, whether they are going into business or not, to learn all of the aspects of business life like finance, marketing, accounting, and management."
Trevon Tucker, of Highland High School in Blackwood, NJ (below right), is on the "yellow" team:
"We're given various supplies like straws and toothpicks and postcards and pipe-cleaners and this type of foam, and we're trying to make a product out of it."
How is this going to help him and his fellow students in the business world?
"Pretty much, creativity. We have to have a lot of that, and we want to go in and make our own business. And right now we're working in a group, and you need to know how to be able to work with others to accomplish a goal."
