A Philadelphia man is being held without bail in connection with the high profile murder of a party planner and another person at her apartment building, the Piazza at Schmidts in Northern Liberties. (see related story)
The district attorney's office says 40-year-old Keith Epps has been arraigned on murder and related charges. Epps is also known as James Wilson and Will Hook.
Police say videotape from the crime scene shows Epps kicking in the door of an apartment near the victim's, shortly before the murders occur. Police theorize that Rian Thal and Timothy Gilmore were killed in a botched robbery attempt.
Police say Thal had four kilograms of cocaine and $100,000 inside her apartment when she was killed.
Two other suspects are already in custody and additional arrests are expected.
