So how's your golf game?
The answer might be more positive if you'd pay more attention to the fundamentals at address, says Bob Fritz, head professional at Manufacturers Golf and Country Club, in Ft. Washington, Pa.:
"So many times I see them in a bad setup position or ball position, and of course it immediately leads to a bad shot. I just don't think the average golfer pays enough attention to their setup."
While golf is all about what happens at impact -- and there are a lot of ways to get there -- Fritz says it helps if you give yourself a fighting chance:
"That's exactly where I'm coming from. Not only alignment, but ball position. And have that thought in your head where you want the ball to go and what you want the shot to look like. The odds are it's going to come off a lot better for you."
So do your game a favor and work on those basics with a PGA professional.
